Auckland Council yesterday declined resource consent for a planned Summerset
retirement village at Hobsonville.
Summerset Group CEO Norah Barlow said the company was disappointed in the
decision.
"This is disappointing to us as we are looking forward to starting
development on this village. We can confirm we will be appealing the
decision."
This delay does not affect Summerset's forecast build rate of 200 units this
year or longer term build rate of 300 units by the end of the 2015 financial
year.
