Trustpower selects Metrix as preferred smart metering partner
Trustpower has today confirmed the selection of Metrix, which is owned by
Mighty River Power, as its preferred partner for the provision of nationwide
metering services and the roll-out of 'smart' meters to its retail customers.
Trustpower's, GM Business Solutions & Technology, Simon Clarke says that
after running a competitive tender process over the last 15 months, Metrix
had been selected and that the parties intend to complete commercial
negotiations over the next few months. "Once we've concluded commercial
terms, we will then work closely with Metrix to get both parties' end to end
systems, people and processes streamlined so that we are ready to start
receiving services and installing smart meters to our retail customers in
2015".
"We look forward to building a strong long term partnership with Metrix. Our
focus will be on ensuring that our relationship helps improve Trustpower's
service to its customers" says Clarke.
