GENERAL: TRP: Transpower raises A$150 million in Australian debt market

Transpower has issued A$150 million in its second-ever Kangaroo deal.  The
proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes and to meet refinancing
requirements of existing debt maturities.

This is Transpower's second issue of Australian Medium Term Notes and adds to
the A$300 million issued in August 2013.

Settlement date: August 6 2014
Maturity date: August 6 2021
Coupon: 4.25%
