GENERAL: TRP: Wairakei-Whakamaru C line commissioning date

Transpower advises that it has now developed its full construction plan for
the new Wairakei-Whakamaru C replacement line, and is projecting a November
2013 commissioning date.  Civil works will begin next month. The original
Grid Upgrade Plan (December 2008) had assumed an earlier start date and an
April 2013 commissioning.

The principal remaining uncertainty is the acquisition of all appropriate
property rights from private land owners along the line: the outcomes of
these negotiations could lead to an earlier or later commissioning date.
