My view is this this either extremity of stupidity or, more likely, act of crime - though this needs further concrete evidence which I don’t have right now, but gut feeling tells me so. Anyways, we should all vote NO to the deal. DEG has 10.6Moz resources and their mine and plant are being developed. SBM has much larger resources and developed mines and working plants. At the moment DEG is valued 4 times as SBM. I think with reasonable management, SBM should worth multiple as it is now, particularly at such high gold price market.
