Interview on local radio this morning with Powerlink regarding the battery, said it's undergoing final checks and will be ready later this year. Nothing particularly new from a stock sense but it's always interesting to hear renewables make the news in CQ since they're still quite new (i.e. they only turned on the first large scale solar at Moura last month). For some reason it's been dubbed 'Big Bessie' by local media.

With the high take-up of residential and commercial solar here there's lots more opportunities for batteries in CQ, I hope they build a decent sized on in Gladstone next.
