In 2016 Genworth renewed its supply and service contract with CBA for a term of 3 years through to December 31, 2019. No ‘request for proposal’ was initiated by CBA.
In 2019 Genworth again renewed its supply and service contract with CBA
for a term of 3 years through to December 31, 2022. At the time, the then Genworth CEO said: “We are delighted that our longstanding relationship with CBA has been extended for another three years. The renewal is evidence of the broader demand by lenders for our risk and capital management solutions.” Again, no ‘request for proposal’ was initiated by CBA - the contract was extended.
So actually CBA has not “put out an rfp at every renewal date” nor is it true to assert “there is nothing unscheduled here.”
