Minyari dome south is shaping up as a large complex mineralised system.

Around 50 years of exploration and new target zones/deposits are emerging with Geo001 the latest.

The size of GEO001 is surprising after the previous level of exploration and perhaps augers well for further discoveries between Minyari North and Judes and perhaps further north.

AZY are obviously excited about GEO001 and the potential they see for a satellite deposit to Minyari and Waca. What they see, and know from the detail, tempers the comments below.

The main issues I see are the structural complexity and grade distribution.

I have frequently commented on the folding visible just east of the emerging resource of Geo1 and what it could imply for any future exploration and hopefully mining. Image updated from previous one 24/4/24 with phase 1 data.

The mineralised zones are roughly at right angles to Minyari. Strong possibility IMO they are axial planar to the folding some 500m to the east. How much plunge component?

The sections are IMO complex and not easy to join the dots.

The 101125 (lower section) is 25m from the one above. Infill drilling is probably needed on this section which contains hole 610 with an assay of 35m @ 3g/t.

The high grade intersections do need to be treated with some caution IMO.

Apart from the 16m high grade zone in Hole 610 the bulk intersections are carried by high grade zones with marginal to potentially waste level halos.

Onceover's post citing SPR's grade and continuity is an exceptional example for a recently discovered deposit. Not many will produce this type of result with Geo1 a poor cousin (ATM? but probably always) with grade and continuity.

Competency contrasts are one of the controlling factors for mineralisation in the Minyari dome south area. Both at the main deposit and at Geo001 (quartzites and mafics). Understanding stratigraphy may provide part of the key to unlocking the mysteries in both.

With respect to the latter geology issue I suspect the AZY team are on their way to understanding what is controlling mineralisation.
Applying such ideas to any future mining will help with the ore vs waste "problem" above.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Au grades between 0.4-0.8 g/t Au would probably get sent to a low grade stock pile these days for later blending/processing.

    ==================================
GP01 - hole 607 gives a healthy 2.1 g/t Au residual. Keep getting more hits like this and the scoping study waste dump will need to be relocated. Tough target IMO given the amount of drilling done in 2023. Like GEO001 probably need to understand strat. and structure.

Minyari South - On their own probably of little significance but marginal to a larger deposit and potentially within any future pit shell are of interest.

For exploration these areas are teasers indicating the wide spread nature of mineralisation at Minyari. Unless they saw something to give more encouragement put these on the back burner as low priority.

Overall not great set of results IMO. Hopefully, phase 2 2024 drilling shows more continuity at least around current grades though higher would be desirable. AZY are more positive than me which I take as a good sign.
