The true measure of company performance should actually be made in comparison to the value of the portfolio of assets held. If you take into account the movement in share price a good investment performance can be adversely affected by changes in the share price from a high premium to a lower premium or even a discount.
What buyers need to do is consider whether or not they should be buying at the premium or discount at the time of buying (note that WGB is at a considerable discount). Often with shares of Wilson funds, buying at a smallish premium is fine because their performance warrants the premium.
