CAJ got merger offer today and CAJ shares are up by 14% now, but WAM shares which has 76 million shares in CAJ as of last notice but WAM prices going down today (at the time of writing this comment) is the clear indication that no matter what Wilson does with him buying on market just few days before CAJ deal came out to market (I hope it is coincident ) ....market has no interest until the CEO & Portfolio manager or investment manger is changed and hope GW wakes up now to reality and do the changes !
(Note - obviously CAJ allocation on WAM may be small and doesn't guarantee increase in WAM prices but the point is normally with other LIC when one of their underlying security get takeover offer then lic prices goes up as well but not here.)
CAJ is going through merger offer so WAM either has to exit now or take alternative shares in IDX.
