So, even if you could create an EGS reservoir 1 sq km in area in the 3- 5 km deep rock volume the largest power station you could operate is 1-2 MWe. To make a 5 MWe power plant you would need to make 3 or 4 EGS reservoirs side-by-side. The cost of this scheme would be ridiculously high.
