the alpha project is a oil shale deposit. calling it a torbanite project was a stroke of marketing genius that didn't get by the boffins at the QLD dept of resources. they saw it for what it was, and the grv team had to go back to the drawing board to sort out green tape.
the oil shale deposit has been sitting untouched for decades. you have to wonder why.
IMO biddle and co, the brilliant explorers they are, never joined grv for alpha. they joined it for Knox resources and it's interests in the east tenant.
and now that Knox is leaving GRV to go to ARO, biddle is following it.
now that dagmar has left, I suspect they're just going to dump alpha and pursue straight geothermal.
I mean, they recently renamed grv to greenvale energy. not greenvale bitumen. that should be telling enough.
all my uneducated opinion only. not advice. dyor.
