Ann: Ghana International Arbitration Update, page-16

I just lost my lengthy post, but in short the issues here now is it is arbitration by a Ghanan Company against the Ghanan Government, in Ghana. It is no longer international arbitration (which seems reasonable to me from a legal standpoint).

The New York Convention may not apply anymore as a purely domestic case, which means that any award will need to be enforced in Ghana. If that is the case then there is three-fifths of f* all chance of extracting any money. If they win and it could be registered in another jurisdiction then they had half a chance. This is complicated area of law but that doesn't look possible now. Everything has to stay within the 4 walls of Ghana as every part of it is Ghana.
