re: Ann: Gift South - Another Mineralised Zon... "The consistency of mineralisation suggests there may be a nearby primary source of mineralisation of significant size which has yet to be discovered. Exploration will focus on delineating potential near surface resources and
to follow the paleochannel to determine the source of the gold."
Market seems uninterested in what is evolving with respect to the Gift Deposit. Not included in the current Phillips River Resource at all, Gift South was identified as a high priority target following May 2009 drilling results.
Everything about the Kundip deposits is fasinating to me and I think even being over 100 years after the Kundip story began the geology of the area is only finally being elucidated.
I had to smile at Jason Stirbinskis's statement -
"Alluvial gold has not previously been considered in
recent exploration, and untested conceptual targets are immediately evident within the Kundip area."
Jason would have loved to have a chat with "Post Hole Jack" - Gordon Dudley Halbert who "in 1968, in one week, he yielded 97 ounces from 30 pounds on his eight acres at Kundip! (Enough to scrape by on, I?d say?)"
We have to remember that the original town of Kundip was established on the back of alluvial gold mining........the following piece is worth a read as are many other historical articles.....

Gorden (1903 -1990) has 3 Oral History tapes in the Battye Library OH 337 and 2 numbered OH 575 I wonder if the Tectonic folk have listened to these.
GZ if you can visit the Battye library (State Library of WA)it would be worth having a listen. I see a transcript is available so I might try and source it myself.
