re: Ann: Gift South - Another Mineralised Zon...
Robo,
Will look into those tapes if I get a chance.
I read the story at your link.A good read, thanks. He would have got a lot of satisfaction out of life & contributed much. Funny, I knew one of the "references" well -Quartermaine, M.K. (Keith) (Mining Historian), now deceased, from 1962.
Its no surprise to find gold in a paleochannel (I prefer that to palaeochannel) in auriferrous country. I note they used aqua regia digest assays.....I would love to suggest to Jason that they re-assay a few with fire-assay. Was involved once in the delineation of a similar paleo, but deeper. Many companies had walked away from it....then a clever geo re-assayed with fire assay, and the assays returned double digit results in g/t compared to lower order results as at Gift.....and it became a rewarding open pit. Aqua Regia doesnt always deliver the goods....
Think he'd humour me? lol.
Still sweating on "No Tree Hill", mate. That will be the proof of the pudding re their exploration methodology.
Since Railway now appears to be regarded as "suss", their reputation hinges on "No Tree Hill", in my book. Lets hope they find something there soon....and report it.
Fingers crossed.
cheers
GZ
