re: Ann: Gindara-1 Drilling Program Approved ... What a fantastic announcement that is. With NDO as operators it could not have gotten any better than this. The drilling manager and superintendant are both land based positions while the drilling Engineer is the man on the rig controlling all aspects of the drilling while it is happening.
The Drilling Engineer will design the string, the drilling package and all associated gear for the hole....above that he will supervise the operation as it is underway!
The Company man is purely a liaison with town from the rig, controlling expenditure and downtime...most of them these days are Petroleum Engineers who have not had a drilling background while the Drilling Engineer is an ex Driller/Toolpusher. Not to mention that this SHELL drilling Engineer has been drilling in Philippines over the last year.
I am extremely confident now that this will be a successful operation and am topping up more for sure.
