iOS penetration is an interesting point, especially in the Australian Market.

Consider an family with 6 iOS devices, mum, day, the 2 kids each have an iPhone and there are two iPads floating around. So we have 4 iPhones.

So my question is, why would people use Zipt? I'm not having a dig, its a legitimate question the company needs to be able to convince users of. Why would the parents, why would the kids?

If its simply free calling, messaging and video calls, why would one install an app rather than the native OS functions that perform the same functions.

Its true there is a benefit if an android user wants to 'free call' an iOS user, this might draw some users on-board. The fact that iOS ARPU's are generally higher is less relevant in this circumstance because whilst they might have the app, what is the incentive to pay anything for using it?

I really liked the originally companies idea about 2g low bandwidth. Then was disappointed with the product and its growth. iOS is a totally different ball game in my opinion and its going to be yet another interesting angle to keep an eye on.
