Actually, I recognise you had the same thought a while ago. It just makes sense. There is seemingly no other way for them to upscale fast enough to make the HX viable without a very convoluted manufacturing contract with CAT and that's why I believe HX is only a stepping stone for FBR. If they could get a huge sum upfront and ongoing royalties for later all from IP they already have they would instantly cement (mind the pun) themselves in a very stable trajectory. Same reason they already changed their name!

...good point, however, it would seem like a bit of an over sight not to patent their own adhesive later on.
