Hi Mike,
Boards quite often struggle to vote themselves out of a job, even when a whale comes a knocking. When push comes to shove, it is best that the board have substantial shareholdings as that tends to soften the blow and therefore keeps their interests more closely aligned with the shareholder.
Not saying that this is the case for this stock, just that as Jack Lang said many years before Paul Keating "In any race always back self interest as it is always running".
