Hi Eljayjenko, thanks for your kind words. Yes there is a low life in GMD but I reckon there is a reasonably smart MD who can counter or nullify his presence. This low life has left a bitter taste in the mouth but I am not going to let that affects my decision in going across to GMD. In GMD, there seems to be a MD who is hell bend on making money for GMD given the opportunistic strategy that he had deployed in getting DCN. Therefore there is a good chance that he will continue doing so in the future.
Obviously for an MD who can build a ~$50M company (Saracen) into a ~$6B company, one will have to assume that he is either extremely lucky or he had some extra grey matter in the head. In going across to GMD, I hope that he will continue to remain lucky, astute and strategic in his management of GMD. I had read that he had remarked that he will deploy Saracen strategy to grow GMD i.e. use the same recipe to grow GMD. Also he had a couple of former Saracen managers with him which will help since managing is not just about a single person. If I am not mistaken, these former Saracen managers like himself had been comparatively lowly paid (RF received $300K as compared to other MDs salary of ~$500K) but compensated with huge share options. Under this scenario, the management team will drive very hard to bring in value to the company i.e. increase the share price and hopefully not just the market capitalisation given the expanded shareholding.
So good luck to all those who had decided to move across to GMD.
On the gold front, I think the latest post by
@Elsanto72 is a good video on the potential of gold price. The video is not just about opinions but opinions backed by hard core figures. The potential of a silver or gold squeeze may just be the catalyst to counter the negative impact of higher DXY causing gold price to pop. Fingers crossed that this will happen soon. If and when gold price pop, there is a good probability that it may extend to 1H of 2024. Obviously it is also my hope that by then GMD will be x10 as well! That will be like hoping for a merged GMD/DCN of ~$400-500M MC to reach $5B MC without diluting shareholding! Is it possible? Probably not but then perhaps another extraordinary event happen (and a lucky one for RF) to allow GMD to increase its MC to $5B or its share price to reach $10.
This extraordinary event can be:
1) a gold price reaching US$3,000/oz or A$5,000/oz!!! Potential causes: gold squeeze, BRICS reserve currency (with gold as a component), a new gold standard competing against Comex and LBMA (removing paper trades and price manipulation), replacement of USD as reserve currency (it is inevitable as the world evolves into a multi-polar world though it is going to take a while) and silver squeeze (very likely event given the recent withdrawal of physical silver as indicated by the video. Withdrawal could be persistent as silver is used in industrial production of solar panels{latest more efficient solar panel will require more silver of up to 100% increase}, etc...) which then has a ripple effect on gold price.
2) a huge gold discovery in the GMD/DCN tenement.
3) the low life is removed from GMD!
