Ad Hominem is a fallacy. Strategies that attacks the character, motive, or some other attribute of the person making an argument rather than addressing the substance of the argument itself... Is the final bastion of lost cause.

I'm told by my professor that Ad Hominem is actually valid in morality laws but last time I checked we don't live under Taliban/Sharia laws. That's a good thing too. I don't think anyone here enjoys publicly administered corporal punishment, death by stoning, lashing, caning, amputation of hand or leg or both etc..
