You're right about the smoothing effect of the insurance. It makes last year's result look a lot better than it otherwise would by comparison. It has a moderating effect on bumper years like this one, but I am glad we have it.
Agreed the oilseeds side doesn't get much attention, but it is performing nicely (and on another note the comments on margarines are bullish for another certain company that we share an investment in, that sells vegemite and peanut butter).
I am confident on the FutureFeed spending - I think it is worth the expense right now. If it pays off it could be massive, so I think it is worth the gamble (gamble is the wrong word, but you know what I mean). It has some other backers with expertise and deep pockets.
