Pretty sure the eventual sale, if and when it happens is at price wher having paid 30 years of rent it is the carrot atthe end of the stick, that encourages the renewals.
AKA it was not seprable from the rates we got paid on the lease for the first 10, 20 then 30 years.
We are being paid premium during that time to preseve their >right< to purchase at the end.
By then if we want to own a PHS scheme they will have paid us enough margin we can build ourselves another shiny new one somewhere else.
We have 22,000 possible sites to choose from
