Certainly agree that solar without a PPA or firming is becoming vulnerable to the duck curve.

On the other hand:

• low/negative power prices are less prevalent in NSW than, say QLD
• low/negative prices may be common in spring when temperatures are mild, however this is unlikely to extend into summer when higher temperatures will increase daytime power use (air conditioning)
• there's little doubt Genex management are well aware of electricity market reality and have entered into the Jemalong project with their eyes open
