They have consistently used eq grades so this announcement is no different. At the recent meeting PL said they use it (Eq), in part, because people tend to be more familiar with Au (eq) than Cu/Zn/Ag which would all be possible ways of "simplifying" polymetallic grades (paraphrased from memory). Not ideal and as you imply a potential way to obfuscate grade issues.
Perhaps of more importance may be the way weighted averages are used with local high grades being smeared across the bulk zones. Happens with these assays a bit as it does for most exploration plays. Palomino is no exception.
The grades are, as you say, ordinary. The widths and relative consistency are not. Within a system of this size there are already indications of higher grade zone(s) that only further, planned, drilling will prove or disprove.
Would have preferred higher grades but you get what you get with drilling.
At Shanac there will be a large bulk tonnage but within that the current prize is a high grade core. Previous drilling suggests it may be relatively consistent and is a valid target.
I would expect similar announcements of wide intersections to come out of Rogozna over the course of the current drill campaign.
Important infill
Continuity of the high grade at Shanac
Confirmation at Copper Canyon South and consistency of infill at CC.
Extensional/Infill
Good to get at Shanac and CC
Gradina may be important as the Au content has been much higher so far.
Volume of mineralisation is likely to be high IMO. However, it will be the grades and the distribution of those that will largely determine economic viability including and beyond the existing Shanac and CC deposits.
