It's possible to interpret it like that and the market action seems to reflect that.
My default attitude is to trust others until proven otherwise. I frequently get burned... but I have noticed that people who consistently default to not trusting almost always never see the opportunity when it's in front of them.
Different strokes for different folks and all that.
