I hadn't considered the angle you guys are putting up. In any drill program it would be normal not to get 100% of all holes. Is it something that needs to be disclosed? At some point yes but maybe the materiality is defined by the extent? Generally execs would report for precautionary principle and on reflection, with the extent here being a significant number at 50%, Nicole should have disclosed that when the drillers stopped. An announcement at that time would have been better received for separating the mechanical problem from the assays - eg drilling has stopped for now due to mechanical issues, we've completed 50% of the targeted holes and a bit of positivity about that.
I'd be interested to know how the discussion with the board went and if it was unanimous to hold back.
