Interesting to hear what makes people decide there is a problem. For ALK both @Joelstar and earlier @ConnorEx walking away is not great as both are folks who do their research. The lack of institutional interest would also appear to justify more scepticism than some of us lesser folks tend to exhibit.

The CFO presentation didn’t bother me. One of Nic’s earlier ones did though jangle my antenna. Again more the vibe than the content which just made me feel this could be a much slower burn than I had been thinking. Still hold though….

Knowing when to sell remains for me the biggest challenge. Have had some great wins (exit CAI at over $1 and ASM at over $14) but also some stink decisions. The most recent case of “premature evacuation” was selling SXG in the 40c range cause their announcements worried me. Now $2.20. I always remind myself that buy and hold doesn’t generally apply in resources because of the underlying commodity cycle unless a really good company is successfully doing the M&A thing. Got to be nimble….

On a more positive note occasionally ignoring one’s instincts works. I have never been a great fan of the BGL crew but liked FFMs latest project and that has gone really well.

Ah well as I write gold back over $2400. Another day of reading the chicken entrails…. ATB to all.
