when negotiating such deals and spot price plays some role but nowhere as significant as most retail investors do. if anything, recent spike in the price may deliver another $20m to the deal but won't deliver another $200m.
plus my $200m is just a guess... and who knows what they land. I am not going to complain ALK lands $500m
