Shares on Issue, or the total number of shares a company has listed. 30 million is a very small number - some small cap explorers like this can have 2-3 Billion and still have absolutely nothing to show for it, whilst the Directors take handsome salaries for shifting papers from one side of the desk to the other. These guys are already busy.
Of the 30 million, many will be held by the top 20, so the actual number available to buy on market will be significantly less. That means that movement can be explosive. Conversely, it can drop rapidly on small volume if someone wants to bail.
