Howdy LKI - simples really - Mr Market is off his meds !
Have to say it is not often I feel the need for a tin foil beanie but right now I am thinking of buying shares in Comalco (well would if they still existed).

Price of physical gold is obviously on a tear however a quick look at the 165 ASX listed goldies suggests today was not a good day for sales of shovels at Bunnings.

Yes we had a great announcement early on a Monday morning. Just unfortunate that some orange alien had thrown a hand grenade into the trading pit on the previous Frid night. I can only put my hand up and admit had an order placed for early trade to pick up another small parcel (I am a stayer not a player) - my thought was that we would get at least a slight bump then settle back to mid 6's with a possibility of moving up around 7. My logic was even though it would likely not be a positive day that HRZ is at least a bit under cooked so should benefit from a solid ann. How wrong was I !! Generally good as the news this morning was, just not strong enough to get HRZ to swim against the tide.
Years ago (well before DEI was a thing) I got dragged along (by my mother) to the Syd town hall to listen to Quentin Crisp (Will let you Google him) . Something he said has stuck with me over the years - "..........don't swim against the tide (of public opinion) but rather swim with it - only a little faster..........." Well the tide is currently sweeping gold along the stream. I can only assume at some point in time the goldies currently swimming against it will either drown or turn and swim with the tide. Lets hope HRZ is a comparative early adopter.

Bottom line LKI, other than perhaps suggesting magic mushrooms are involved, I have no rational explanation for the gyrations of Mr Market and no clue when he will tire of this nonsense. Can only hope I / we can survive long enough to see the proverbial sun shine through.
