Yeah interesting reading in regards to the Department of Defense in the USA. Just recently ran out of "surplus government silver stockpiles" and now are having to pay full physical market price for their silver batteries. Apparently they are looking into the viability of lithium ion to replace it, though the voltage profile of silver oxide is significantly better over the discharge cycle than lithium io, so it may require a complete reworking and a then a loss in safety/uptime profile even if it is cheaper in the short term.

Also nearly all the guided missiles being used in the Ukraine war on both sides contain significant amounts of silver for their batteries too. The thought of silver being vaporized in amounts not seen before in human history is a pretty sad situation. The loss of government stockpiles and this mainly missile war being fought is a large part why silver supply failed to meet demand by nearly 50% last year. And it will only get worse from here you would think.
