Obviously biggest challenge is it being in such a remote location, if this project was in a better location it would be a no brainier.
About 15 years ago I invested in Allied Gold ALD that had a mine project on the Siberei Island in PNG archipeligo , a mine and processing plant were built the location was just as remote , but as it was a volcanic Island it was easy to freight supplies and machinery to the Island and there were relatively few political issues to also only one tribe to deal with due to sparse population unlike the mainland were inter tribal claims draw out timelines ie the Ramu project with HIG
Biggest problem was the low grade of the ore in that case think around 1.2 gram a tonne Au
Prefer if GPR had stuck to Cambodia though rather than using equity and shares for this .
