If the benefication is carried out on site, the current spot price for iron ore is around $170/tonne. The cost to mine the ore and get it to port might be in the vicinity of $40-$60/tonne at a guess. This leave quite a lot of profit per tonne. It will be a few years before any production commences and in that time, a lot of other miners will be at the production stage which may put downward pressure on the iron ore price. This will depend on the future demand from China, India and other countries. The final grade will also affect the sale price, they should get in the range of 60-70%, the higher the better.
