Two weeks since the last results were announced. With so many assays in the lab for quite a long time now, some significant news must ready to drop.

It has been a year since the first holes were drilled, hole number WT-20-02 was reported with anomalous base metal values in the Geesman Fault Zone between the Leatherwood intrusive and the Proterozoic basement:

A year later drilling in the Geesman Fault Zone is continuing to show broad zones of alteration, albeit for Au beyond the polymetallic veins system, with the skarn and porphyry systems often presenting a base metal zonation away from higher gradecopper and gold mineralisation. That base metal zonation is the Geesman Fault. It is long, thick and presenting the zonation for kilometres of strike. The two images look like drilling is in opposing directions, but they are not, they are sections looking in opposite directions.

For a year now the geology team have been building the case to acquire and drill to the east of Oracle Ridge at Golden Eagle. Vectoring studies can now be far more comprehensive as geochemical data will have been obtained along strike of the Geesman Fault. Volume in this kind of data is the key though, so hopefully enough info has been collected to make statistically relevant observations. Observations don't always lead to conclusions though, and often throw up a lot more questions and riddles.

Chemostratigraphy could be cautiously used here (well, that is what vectoring is, but more the chemo then the stratigraphy part) to unlock the secrets to the source, although it is about 2-2.5 km between Oracle Ridge and Golden Eagle by the look of it, the spacing of the drilling may not be close enough yet to yield any meaning in the vectoring study.

We are still 50% up from this point last year, despite the recent downtrend, and I reckon we are about due for a trend reversal with the announcements coming in soon.
