In the original announcement regarding the GomSpace procurement agreement for the equatorial constellation, it is said the "Estimated cost of the total contract is between AUD $50 to $75 million".
In this announcement, it says "The total value of the new order is in the range of 13 to 15 million EUR" which is currently around 19.6 to 22.7 million AUD.
What do we make of this? I'm thinking it's a partial order which would line up with what Meir has said in the past. Assuming costs haven't changed, this would be for about 1/3 of the satellites, or 66.
Another thing is that original announcement says "The first delivery of nano-satellites will be in 2018" and so does this one. Does that mean the changes contained in announcement are mostly about the "further development to increase the capabilities of the satellites"?
