I haven't noticed in any of the presentations that Gonneville is located in one of (if not the most) earthquake prone areas of WA. I was reading the protocols for tailing dam design and being in an earthquake zone doesn't help especially considering that the Avon River is directly downstream.

Just the tailing dam agreement alone requires Chalice to provide huge amounts of information to any "stakeholders" that request it. A stakeholder is someone who can "see, hear, or smell" the operation. Given that Chalice will definitely be contending with a host of very hostile stakeholders, they could bog down that tailings dam approval for ages. That's just the tailings dam.

How to develop a tailings dam in an earthquake zone upstream from a major river that runs through a major city whilst fending off completely legal information requests from a myriad of hostile community groups?

We didn't see much about that in the scoping study.
