Absolutely this is a possibility. I don't like to make predictions based on imperfect information but my gut feeling is that the best way forward for STX is a farm-out to turn this into a larger pilot of approx. 9 wells.
That's what I would do if this were my project. I have seen plenty of instances where even proper 5 spot pilots with normal coal thicknesses and normal pressures struggle to dewater, and require 9+ wells.
Whether MC and DB see it that way, who knows...
