    The only problem with that is that every time that MEL needs cash the BYE shareholding will get whittled away .
    The Market knows that and that is why there is a big discount .
    The Market thinks there is nothing on MEL's investment horizon that has as much potential as what BYE has over the next few years .

    They may prove the Market wrong if they are lucky but BYE does not need that much luck . It imo has a high COS growth path ahead of it and the revenue stream to pay for it .
    I would much rather be the owner of more BYE shares and shares in a slimmed down MEL exploring for oil and gas in Australia than a bigger MEL that cannot make up its mind to be an investment company or an exploration company .
