Well, it will, but maybe not as much as you hope. Currently LIFX works with its own app....which is very very good and all you really need. It also works with Alexa and Apple Homekit although I tossed the Homekit side because its basically crap.

Lifx Users have been waiting for the Google side for 2 years and the wait is over.....although I am yet to be advised by LIFX itself what exactly the capabilities are and which lights it works with....ie Gen 1 2 or 3.

LIFX users tend to buy more lights as they come to market hence the ongoing growth....they are the best there is simple as that.

This Ann may help current and new light users to move towards more automation because they may own a smart Google appliance already or thinking of getting one.

Having all three automation systems is a plus because you appeal to all flavours of buyers of the products.....but it won't immediately generate massive sales. Just another feather worth having.
