Cash is worth more in a high interest rate environment. It has a larger potential to generate more returns. In an inflationary environment it is however worth less which has been brought on by the reckless quantitive easing with no due regard to its outcome. This exact scenario was quite easy to predict so central banks are either not that good at their jobs or they are playing coy. I am going to go with playing coy. Rich get richer poor get poorer.
