Think you will find that provided the circuit is spec'ced for a certain product size, grind size is no issue.

This is some testwork comparing Greenbushes product to Whabouchi. Note the high Iron content (Mali Lithium iron content is even lower than Greenbushes btw).

Grind size for both is 500 micron minus.

Guess we can expect recoveries from calcination approaching 100%.
