I think some are trying to read too much into this announcement.

You can't put that through the plant being built. I suspect there is a lot more waste initially as one would expect as you expand the pit.

They also mention a planned annual material movement of 18-20 Mtpa, and no ramp up. I would suspect that any contracts awarded would only be for the approved Stage#1. There may be wording in the contract for expansion for Stage#2, but I do not believe any reputable management would award a contract for works not approved by the board.
