Did I hit a nerve Woody? It is amusing that you immediately abuse the person who provides you with some facts which you don't agree with. Very mature.
Unfortunately, Mali is still in a coup. They also failed to hold democratic elections as previously promised, with the current interim-President ousting the interim civilian government for the second time in May 2021.
He promised in March 2022, that there will be democratic elections within 2 years. I am assuming this was simply to appease the enforcers of the international sanctions against Mali, and the shareholders of companies doing business within the country.
Firm plans? Perhaps, the military has signed a document stating that they will hold elections.
Perhaps you should try harder and open a book once in a while.. catch a bus to the local library and read about coups in Africa - see how often the deadlines for elections by the military leaders are actually kept.
