Does anyone else see the possibility that the ministry of mines is suffering some FOMO?
The Government is entitled to a 10% share of financial gains, but only once the paperwork for the free-carry agreement is finalized and they become a 10% owner of LMSA.
The DSO operation was going to bring forward the date of the first financial gain, by about 9 months.....
So maybe the ministry of mines put the handbrake on the DSO shipment, because they were unaware there would be income this early, and they want the free-carry ownership implemented, before there is any income.
Additionally, if I understand correctly, the deadline for the government to take up the additional optional 10% investment in LMSA is two years after first production. Is DSO considered "first production"?
Taking that thought into the improbable; If so, and if DSO was shipped 3Q23, would government be liable for 10% of CAPEX in 3Q25, in time for stage 2?
