He actions were corrupt.
He knew they were corrupt.
It was enough money that most people would have been lucky to avoid jail .
His 2nd and probably 3rd chance , is not going to jail [ not that I would want him to] .
It was a tad beyond ,"lads will be lads".
I can just imagine how cheerful and understanding he would have been , if one of his minions was caught out.
The odds are ASIC will eventually give him a holiday from public company work for a while anyway.
