GQG is currently $3 ($154M) of PAC’s $7.98 per share Net Assets.
Theoretically the remainder of PAC is $4.98 per share.
Because GQG listing has an actual market valuation now we know the underlying asset valuation on PAC’s balance sheet is under by $137M, calculated as follows:
$236M (118.112M shares @$2ea)
minus $154M (current holding value)
= $82M + $55M in cash after costs
The difference as per financial report is $2.68 per PAC share or another way GQG shares and cash is worth $5.68 per PAC share.
At today’s share price of $7.49, the market is pricing the rest of PAC at $1.81. Someone forgot to tell Mr Market PAC will still own 4% and have a lot of cash for reinvesting.
