Not to disparage it - brings in a lot of export income for Oz in good years - but those who've been there may share my opinion that Walgett in northwestern NSW is 'remote'.
Yet there's so much 'upcountry' (as GNC loves to call it) grain to be exported through the Port of Newcastle NSW that even on this Saturday night, 11 September 2021, at around 2000 hours there's an empty grain train almost arriving at the Walgett GNC site, perhaps to be loaded during daylight hours tomorrow.
This is a micro example as to how good times are for GNC. Just great.
