Canola is surmised to remain at a high price level until later in 2022 when the Canadian crop's progress should be clear, and thereafter prices may moderate.

GNC as a handler is affected by growers' relative optimism or pessimism in relation to hectares planted.

Parts of South Australia were highlighted as rainfall deficient thus far in 2022 but GNC would handle little of that state's crop. Outlook for the eastern states is said to be better with one Victorian grower near Lake Bolac highlighting how recent rain had been just the right amount, as he doesn't desire bogged paddocks from tumultuous rain (to make an obvious statement).
