Jimone, it's not that complicated ok, they take the veins and surrounding rock in a sample that would represent what they could minimally mine and send it to the lab to get the grade. This is what they will put through the gravity spirals and shaking tables to liberate the gold after crushing and see how much gold is there. Your inference of square metres etc has no bearing on this result. It is what it is, at that spot anyway. The only way anyone will know the true grade of this mine is AFTER they have mined it out. Such is the nature of these things.
